Every few weeks, there’s a beauty product that makes its way to the top of Team Tira’s collective radar. Once, it was the viral blush that someone was “just trying once” before it somehow ended up in every cart. Then there was the hair serum, that gave someone new hair growth, and earned a permanent spot on everyone’s vanity. Most recently, it’s been the Tira Peptint, a collagen-boosting lip-care essential, that started doing rounds after lunch one day and, by the end of the week, had multiplied across desks in the meeting room.
Now, it’s basically part of our routine—someone’s topping up before a call, someone else is asking which shade they’re wearing and there’s always one person hunting for the tube they swear they left right here.
So, in the spirit of full transparency (and mild peer pressure), we asked around to see why this is their current obsessions and what everyone’s shade is.
“I didn’t think I’d care for another lip balm,” says Anusha, who’s on her second tube of the Tira Peptint Plumping Lip Balm in Cheery. “But this one’s actually hydrating. My lips don’t feel dry after an hour. It’s replaced my lipstick on most days because it makes my lips look put together without any effort.”
“I’ve tried a lot of plumping balms and most of them sting,” Nidhi says. “This one doesn’t. It just feels cushiony and soft; and there’s this subtle tint that makes your lips look healthy. I like that it’s skincare first. I use the shade Charmed.”
“For me, it’s all about convenience,” Veda says. “I can swipe the Peptint on before a meeting, after lunch and even when my camera’s on—the Dazzled shade always looks fresh. It’s a rare lip balm that works just as well as makeup.”
“I use Joy more as a habit than as makeup now,” Tamara says. “It sits next to my hand cream and sanitiser. I like how it actually fixes my dry lips without feeling waxy or heavy. The texture’s so smooth, it’s almost like it melts in.”
“I think it’s the comfort for me,” says Simoni. “The Peptint is neither sticky nor extremely glossy, so it just feels like a great buy for full-day wear. I don’t have to think about reapplying anything for hours, if I’m wearing this. I go for the shade Bliss, which is quite subtle and nice.”
“I use it even when I’m at home,” Megha says. “It makes my lips feel soft; and after a week now I’ve noticed that they aren’t chapped anymore. It’s one of those things that do their job, and you don’t realise how good it is until you stop using it. I love to wear it in Tender, but I also enjoy Glee on some days.”
