This monsoon, the rain played hide-and-seek. First, there was a torrential downpour, followed by days of scorching heat, then sudden showers again, culminating in a season of unpredictable weather. While we navigated the streets in wet jeans and stained shoes, our skin had to adapt to rapidly changing temperatures. The consistent hum of the overhead AC in glass offices doesn’t help. During this season every year, skin is bound to fluctuate between ‘too sticky’ and ‘too dry’ like a pendulum.
This makes a post-monsoon pamper session vital. While self-care should be done regularly, after multiple months of exposure to natural elements, the skin deserves extra love. That’s why a round of scrubbing should be on your schedule. We’ve compiled a list of restorative scrubs to wash off the monsoon blues from your body. For most of 2026, matcha has been in the headlines. This bright green powder, made by grinding green tea leaves, was known primarily to the Japanese population and wellness enthusiasts. But the popularity of matcha lattes on social media, usually ordered after a session of reformer Pilates, turned this ceremonial drink into a sensation. In this scrub, the super-ingredient meets papaya and pineapple fruit extracts to exfoliate dead skin and visibly minimise pores. Together, they’re a ‘matcha’ made in heaven.
