The cherry on top of a beach vacation is the enviable summery glow it leaves your skin with. For many of us, thanks to the years lost in the pandemic, our last beach trip seems like a distant memory. That glow, though, doesn’t have to be.
Bronzers can help you replicate that same radiance that comes with a healthy tan, provided you master its application. That’s where we come in.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to apply bronzer to fake that perfect glow:
Step 1: Only the best bronzer for Indian skin
Indian skin is already blessed with being on the warmer side of the spectrum, so the first thing you should remember is to choose a bronzer that amplifies that honey tone without adding any extra colour. Go for two shades darker than your natural skin tone for best results.
Step 2: Work that tan
Tap a makeup brush into your bronzer of choice, dust off the excess, and sweep it along your cheekbones, forehead, and temples. Sweep a little bit of the bronzer down each side of your nose to contour it lightly. If you’re seeking even more definition, sweep the bronzer along your jawline, too. Cover the perimeter of your face with emphasis on the areas that the sun would hit naturally.
Step 3: Blend it like (Victoria) Beckham
Unblended bronzer is going to give your play away. Blend those harsh lines with your fingers, or a makeup sponge, in small, circular motions to create a seamless finish on your face.
Step 4: Fake it till you make it
Why stop at the face? Dust some bronzer on your chin, collarbones, neck and shoulders. Here’s where that excess face bronzer on your brush can come handy. You can even invest in a liquid bronzer for your body if you really want that beachy glow all over.
