If there’s one thing that Team Tira knows, it’s that beauty rituals feel better when shared. Whether it’s a Sunday sheet mask or a midweek haircare catch-up, turning your self-care routines into quality time with the beau is an easy way to keep things fun, fresh and, most importantly, consistent.
So we chatted with the team about how beauty fits into their relationships—the small things that make everyday routines feel a little more special.
This oil takes the idea of a traditional champi and gives it a modern spin. It blends herbs like amla, neem and brahmi with lightweight oils, so you get all the nourishment without feeling greasy. It’s designed for scalp health and hair strength, but it’s also just a really nice ritual to add to your week. Massage it in before bed, wash it out the next day and your hair feels softer, shinier and a little more cared for.
I use heat-powered styling tools more than I should, so this mask is my go-to fix. It makes my hair feel soft, smooth and healthy again. I like that it’s free from sulfates and parabens but still gets the job done. I use it once a week to reset my strands, and it never disappoints.
Varalika from design mentions an LED mask. “Honestly, I bought this on a whim during a skincare spiral,” she says. “But I’ve used it so consistently, I think it deserves health insurance. The red light is my go-to when my skin’s looking dull and the blue light saved me during a hormonal breakout week.”
“On weekends, when we’re both working from home (he’s working and I’m scrolling through Pinterest, calling it research), we like doing a little haircare ritual, a nice Sunday champi, followed by a hair mask. It’s something I’ve always seen at home and something I’ve brought into my relationship as well. I finish with a good shampoo and conditioner for hair that feels softer and smells way too good.”
“We’re in a long-distance relationship, so our date nights usually involve doing something cute. I’ll admit that skincare and movie night was my idea, but now it’s become our thing. We both apply eye patches; and then I depuff my face with a gua sha. I’ve also been wanting to try an LED mask because it looks so fun. While we’re doing this, we put on a movie, usually a rom-com I’ve convinced him to watch, and it’s just really sweet.”
“When we get home, cleansing, toning and moisturising come naturally to us. We’ve made it our evening ritual to indulge in before dinnertime. It started because I’d always leave my Korean skincare scattered on the counter and the products really intrigued him. Now he’s part of the skincare routine. It’s funny, even his friends ask him for product recommendations.”
“Sunday evenings are our unofficial ‘reset hour’. We both pick our masks. He’s into the clay ones; and I enjoy sheet masks that are cooling and hydrating. We’ll put our masks on and just scroll through reels together. That’s our ritual. It’s also the best way to let the products do their thing while we catch up. Sometimes we play some chill music in the background.”
“Everyone’s obsessed with skincare, but bodycare is where it’s at. I’ve always been big on body lotions and oils; and I finally got my boyfriend hooked too. Now, post-shower moisturising is non-negotiable for both of us. It takes a minute, but the difference is unreal.”
